Crivanto™ Washable Hem Tape for Pants & Curtains
Pants too long? Hem them yourself in minutes.
No sewing machine, no needle, no iron. Stick the tape inside the fold, peel off the backing and press. Jeans, work trousers, dress pants, and curtains too.

The same four steps work on pants and curtains.
Four things that ruin a hem. One roll fixes all four.
1
Pants too long
2
Frayed from dragging
3
No time or skill to sew
4
Tape that came off in the wash
Take the hem up a few centimetres and all four go away. No tailor, no waiting a week to wear them.
Stick, peel, press. Nothing to sew, nothing to heat.
- No sewing. Not one stitch. If you can't thread a needle, you can still do this.
- No iron. The tape sticks on its own. Nothing is heated, so nothing scorches.
- No tailor. Do it at the kitchen table in a few minutes per pair.

Jeans that stop at the ankle. Curtains that stop just above the floor. No stitch line on either.
It goes in the wash with your jeans

Pants get washed every week, so a hem tape that lets go in the machine is no use on them. That is the most common complaint about ordinary stick-on tapes in buyer reviews of other brands.
Crivanto™ hem tape is designed for machine washing and drying. Hem them, wear them, wash them. Follow the care label on the garment.

How to hem pants: 4 steps
All you need is the roll and a pair of scissors.
Step 1 of 4
Mark the length

Put the pants on with your usual shoes and fold the hem under to where you want it. Pin or chalk the fold line.
Step 2 of 4
Stick

Turn the leg inside out. Press the tape along the inside of the fold, paper side up, and cut it at the end.
Step 3 of 4
Peel

Pull off the white backing paper in one strip.
Step 4 of 4
Fold and press

Fold the hem up along your mark and press firmly along it with your palms. Do the other leg the same way.
Tip: get the fold exactly where you want it before you press. Once a stick-on hem is pressed down it is hard to move.

Questions people ask
Will it come off in the wash?
It is designed for machine washing and drying. That is the difference from ordinary stick-on tapes, where coming off in the wash is a common complaint in buyer reviews. Follow the care label on your pants or curtains.
Will it work on jeans?
Yes. Use the 2 cm roll for jeans and other thick cotton. Press firmly along the whole fold, and turn the leg inside out so the tape sits inside the hem.
Will I see or feel it?
The tape sits inside the fold, flat against the fabric, so the outside shows a clean edge with no stitches. On very thin or sheer fabric, try a short piece first.
What fabrics does it work on?
Cotton, denim, polyester and blends. For very stretchy or very delicate fabric, test a short piece on the inside of the hem first.
Can I iron over it?
Yes. Once the hem is on, you can iron over it. You don't need an iron to apply it.
How many pants does one roll do?
One roll is 9.1 m (10 yd). With one strip per leg, that is about 8 to 10 pairs of pants, or up to about 6 curtain panels.
Which width should I choose?
1 cm for dress pants and light trousers, 2 cm for jeans, chinos and regular curtains, 3 cm for heavy and blackout curtains.
